I really love this website Al. Its so true how we take credit for the good things we do, have happen to us feeling elated and proud with all that good stuff; yet blame ourselves for the bad, instilling a sense of sadness, fear and negativity. Often due to things we aren't aware of. I truly feel that being responsible for something does not necessarily mean you must feel guilt over it, it should be just that, it. Also that through even your cancer you have become more spiritual and have found a new appreciation of life and how important love is, is a sign that it is a "cleanser" maybe of your spirit? Just some thoughts. I've been looking through some of the other readings. Very eye/soul opening approach. xoxox
I extend to you my current thoughts, passages and exercises from books and links that I'm reading/viewing/listening to as I go through cancer treatment.
I was diagnosed with a rare cancer on Labour Day weekend 2007, just before the new teaching/school year. (It's a primitive neuroectodermal tumor). My amazing doctors have been treating me with ovarian, brain, and other cancer drugs to tackle these aggressive tumors. Cisplatin and Etoposide did wonders for the 2 main tumors, then Carboplatinum and Etoposide when the Cisplatin became too hard for my body, then I was treated with Temodol, and the latest drugs which have created the greatest change are Doxorubicin and Cyclophosphamide. I have lost my hair and feeling in my hands and feet, so finding out that I can blog is the best way to keep an on-going journal. I hope that these links, and some may seem far out there, will help someone to see for themselves if the books, exercises or links can offer them some help, and bring to them encouragement and hope in the darkest times. I keep on seeking.
**All pictures between Koh Samet and Southampton are from the web. Others I've learned to post**I'm making every attempt to indicate the source of quotations as I go along, short of a bibliography.
